Utah Valley Wood Carvers is a re-established group after about
10 years of non-existence. I, Bob Dailey, had moved down here
6 years ago from Longview, WA where there is a well diversed
and artistic group of carvers. For the last few years, they have
displayed their goods at the Lower Columbia Wood Carving event
usually held at the end of September.
After meeting with several carvers here in the valley, we all agreed
that it was time to get back on track and get ready to do our own
show. And now that all of the basic steps are taken, we feel this
is the year to do it.
There are some very talented carvers in this part of Utah. We feel
like putting on a show for the public would be great! The love of
wood these people have and the amazing abilities I think will be of interest to many.
We are all striving to do better and sharpening our skills. If this
type of hobby is of interest to you at all, then come attend one
of our meetings and become part of our group. Always looking
for new members!
